Anneliese is a Senior Executive with in-depth expertise in strategic commercial, regulatory, legal, and governance matters. She qualified as a corporate lawyer in Australia in 1989 and has since worked with a diverse client base, including startups, high-growth businesses, and large global listed and non-listed companies. Her experience spans Europe, the Middle East, the USA, and Australasia, serving both as a General Counsel and a Partner in a City law firm.
Anneliese is the former Chairman of the global Board of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the world’s largest in-house counsel organization with 45,000 members in 85 countries. Until August this year, she was the most senior female executive of du, a leading multi-billion turnover telecom operator. She is a founding investor and member of the Investment Committee at Dubai Angel Investors, a specialist tech ‘Micro-VC’. Additionally, Anneliese is a Member of the Council for the Institute of Directors (IOD) and serves on the advisory Board of the high-growth Legaltech startup App4Legal.
Recognized for her advocacy for diversity, Anneliese has been described as a ‘bastion for diversity’ by The Legal 500’s GC Powerlist: Middle East. She has been profiled as one of the Middle East & Africa’s 20 leading women in the ICT sector and has been featured in LegalEra’s definitive guide, World’s Best General Counsel.
