Stelios is a seasoned financial services professional with extensive experience in financial services licensing, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance. Throughout his tenure with various reputable consulting firms, Stelios has led the authorization processes and operational establishment for numerous financial institutions with Competent Authorities such as CySEC, FCA, BaFIN, and AMF. His recent achievements include the licensing of Revolut in Cyprus as a Crypto Asset Service Provider, where he played a key role in establishing corporate governance and crypto product governance arrangements in line with stringent regulatory requirements.
Currently, Stelios serves as a Non-Executive Director in a Cyprus Investment Firm and an Alternative Investment Fund Manager. His responsibilities include overseeing the effectiveness of governance arrangements and ensuring compliance with AML, Investment Services, and Fund Management Laws.
He is a member of the Ethics and Risk Management Committee of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association. Stelios holds an MSc in Business & Management from Aston Business School and a BA in Accounting and Management from the University of Essex.
